“To Heal the Heart: Responding to Family Violence in a Community of Faith” Conference

Being held at The Moody Church in Chicago titled “To Heal the Heart: Responding to Family Violence in a Community of Faith” occurring on October 7th (8:30am-5:30pm) and 8th (8:30am-12:30pm).

The conference will consist of a keynote presentation by Dr. Steven Tracy, who is the author of Mending the Soul: Understanding and Healing Abuse and a professor of Theology and Ethics at Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona, and Celestia Tracy, M.A., L.P.C.. There will also be over 25 breakout sessions to choose from covering topics including: human trafficking, domestic violence, date rape, sexual addiction, orders of protection, and many more.


Attendees will include pastors, social ministry leaders, social workers, clinicians, students, and lay leaders. Early bird registration rates (before September 29, 2011) for the conference are $25 for general attendees and $15 for students. For an additional $10, up to 6.75 continuing education credits may be earned by LSW, LCSW, LPC, and LCPC.
