The Miracle Center's second annual fundraiser is in collaboration with the awe inspiring Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts and their current touring production. The Miracle Center and America's premier Christian Ballet Company brings The Scarlet Cord to Chicago. Inspired and loosely based on the Biblical account of Rahab, the ballet is set against the gray background of the communist Soviet Union. This newest Ballet Magnificat! production depicts the story of Rahab the harlot, party official Vladimir Ivanovich, and the undercover missionaries Aaron and Anna Grimes, as well as those pressed down by the iron fist of the Soviet government. This tale of betrayal, love, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice paints a portrait of an offering brought before our amazing Savior. Come witness this moving drama of a revolution - a human heart turning to the ultimate truth, Jesus Christ.

Summer Vacation is Over and We're Ready for Fall!

Well, it's the first day of Fall, but I will say that the HHAPC had a very productive summer. Over the last few months, we successfully:

*finalized our Strategic Planning document

*worked with our summer youth to put together the steps we need to take in order to roll-out the Strategic Plan

*used the youth's roll-out steps in the development of an Implementation Plan, which we will use to guide our efforts in the 2008-2009 school year

*created a Community Profile booklet, which will be distributed in the month of October

*********************************************************************************

This Fall, we will focus our efforts on one of the strategies we identified in the Strategic Plan, a Social Norms Campaign. The Social Norms Campaign has three major components:

A - Marketing/Media Materials
B - Interactive Strategies such as Campaign Presentations and Contests
C - A Youth Pocket Guide

We hope to put together some committees of HHAPC members to help us make our campaign a success, using the Implementation Plan to guide our efforts.

We will also be reaching out to more youth who might be interested in either designing campaign materials, or testing and distributing campaign materials. So if you know of any youth that might be interested, please have the contact us.

Please join us for our next HHAPC meeting, where we will go over the details of the Implementation Plan and determine who would like to work on specific areas of the Campaign.

As soon as we have set a date for the next HHAPC meeting I will post that information here, however right now we are looking at the second week in October.

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
